As a result of a fire in an old mansion located in the municipality of Oeiras, only the main façade and its gables remained.

The project to convert the building into a multi-family dwelling focused on the rehabilitation of the main façade and its gables, proposing a new rear façade (a kind of plug-in to the pre-existing structure) that is light and visually permeable. This new façade accommodated balconies around its perimeter, allowing enjoyment of the garden—a social and meeting space that includes a pool.

The three pre-existing façades were rehabilitated with respect to their original characteristics and color. On one hand, the thicker walls are punctuated by openings; on the other hand, more slender structural elements allow for large openings, providing greater transparency to the rear façade. This approach resolved the integration between the "pre-existing and the new."

The building is organized into three floors – the last one in the attic – and one floor below, in which seven autonomous units are distributed, four of them duplex.

Regarding the carpentry, guards, and flower boxes, the selected beige color for the covering was restored. Additionally, a pre-existing color, dry green, was chosen for the main door of the building, the access gate to the garage, and the guards of the pre-existing windows.
